WELCOME TO KKOP ONLINE

KKOP is an anti-corruption project developed and implemented jointly by the Matatu Welfare Association (MWA) and the Matatu Drivers’ and Conductors’ Welfare Association (MADCOWA).

MWA and MADCOWA mooted KKOP in February 2010 after realizing that their strike of January 2010 had given the two organizations a very bad image due to the suffering of commuters and loss of revenue during the strike.

WHAT IS CORRUPTION:
  • Transparency International defines corruption as abuse of entrusted power for private gain.
  • Bribery- Offering, receiving, or demanding something of value in order to influence a decision of person(s) involved.
